چکیده
Abstract Land evaluation is necessary for planning the sustainable use of land resources and providing higher production food crops. This study aims to apply geographic information system techniques remote sensing determine suitability classes rice in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Sentinel-2 satellite imagery was processed obtain a map field normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). The class determined using yield predictions based on NDVI value. Validation check data productivity statistics from Department Agriculture Fisheries Sleman Regency. resulting compared with soil series data. results showed that corresponded developed Integrating Sentinel2 images GIS methods could potentially update quickly.

Use of remote sensing and GIS for sustainable land management
Remote sensing provides the basic data to undertake inventory of land, as well as the temporal information required to monitor sustainable land management practices. In this paper, the current use of remote sensing for sustainable land management is reviewed, and the potential of future (new) satellite systems to contribute to sustainable development is explored. Other elements for successful s...

متن کاملEvaluation of land use/land cover changes in Mekelle City, Ethiopia using Remote Sensing and GIS
Land use is a dynamic phenomenon that changes with time and space due to anthropogenic pressure and development. Evaluating the existing land use and its periodic change is useful for urban planners, policy makers and natural resource managers. Land use and land cover changes in Mekelle City, Ethiopia (north east Africa) over a period of 25 years was studied using remotely sensed data. Multi te...
